Knowledge and compilation of essence of Vedas

Knowledge and compilation of essence of Vedas

The Supreme Soul, the Ultimate Reality is reachable by the knowledge of Vedas, the most ancient books of spiritual knowledge in the Universe. Such a great Lord Vishnu manifested as the elder son of Dasaratha, a king in the Tretayuga. Valmiki, the first poet of Sanskrit language, compiled the essence of Vedas as the sacred book Ramayana.

Satasloki Valmiki Ramayana: Swamiji Says

Swamiji Says

Here is my gift to you. It is the “Sata Sloki* Ramayana” in your hands. It is the brief narration of Ramayana, the story of Rama, (an incarnation of Vishnu). This hymn is in the beginning of the Ramayana by the saint poet Valmiki. For many people, it may not be possible to recite the full text of Valmiki Ramayana of 24,000 slokas. Hence the brief version with meaning is now available to you.

This book is released in the Datta Yoga Center, Carapichaima, Central Trinidad just t within a few months after the consecration of the 85 feet Hanuman Murty in this asrama. This is the fine result of your devotional effort for the grand inauguration of the new temples and unveiling of the magnanimous Hanuman statue here on 9-6-2003

“Ramah Vigrahavan Dharmah”

Rama is the personification of Dharma (righteousness). By the worship of Rama, uttering the 108 names, singing the bhajans and Ramanama Ramayana, you will become more righteous, inspired and enthusiastic to do your duties well. You will get good results. The book has some bhajans on Ganesha, Siva, Datta, Rama and Hanuman with meanings. Derive maximum benefit by the same. Rama grants yo0u wisdom, peace of mind, prosperity, purity of conduct, memory, concentration, righteousness, friendliness as also Atma Jnana (spiritual knowledge). Now it is up to you all to utilize the unique boon, I am giving you in this form.

I would like that all of you recite the 100 slokas daily with devotion. Also, whenever possible, you study the meanings found in the book. If so, your recitation will be more enjoyable and beneficial. Daily recitation of a hymn is called parayana. It is satsanga i.e., good association.

May Lord Datta bless you all!

Swamiji
