Hearing Sugriva’s call for fight, Vali left his home and came

There Sugriva roared like a lion. Hearing the challenging call, Vali left his home and came to fight.

Sugriva became confident and pleased with Rama’s mighty feats

Observing the miraculous mighty feats of Rama, Sugriva became confident of the former’s strength to kill Vali. He was pleased. Accompanied by Rama, Sugriva went to Kishkindha, the place of Vali.

Further, to instill confidence in Sugriva, Rama felled seven huge “Maddi” trees on the hillock with a single arrow. They flew far away and fell down.

Sugriva showed Rama the mountain like skeleton of Dundubhi

With a view to confirm for himself about Rama’s strength, Sugriva showed the latter the mountain-like skeleton of Dundubhi, a demon killed by Vali.
